Dr. Rebecca (Orr) Lauffenburger has long maintained a special interest in children's vision and vision therapy, and while at OSU received the prestigious Award of Excellence in Vision Therapy. In addition to serving the children of the area, Dr. Lauffenburger enjoys treating patients of all ages. From emergency treatment of eye injuries to chronic care of dry eyes, she enjoys the variety of care our office provides on a daily basis.
Dr. Lauffenburger is a cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with Honors from Ohio State, and is a graduate of Waynedale High School. Dr. Lauffenburger grew up in Apple Creek, and she now lives outside of Orrville with her husband, Peter, and their two children.
Dr. Lauffenburger is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and Wooster Noon Lions Club.
She is also a presenter of the Realeyes program, which educates school children on the importance of eye care. Each school year, Dr. Lauffenburger enjoys speaking to over 500 kids in our Wayne County schools.
Our staff is composed of 10 talented ladies. Our optical department is staffed by 3 licensed opticians, with a collective work experience of over 30 years. We have a dedicated insurance coordinator to handle all of your billing needs. The doctor is directly assisted by a team of 3 fabulous technicians. Our vision therapist is perhaps the most patient woman you will ever meet. And last but not least, our front desk is staffed by 3 smiling faces.
